Dickinson College Announces Competition Winners!

Dickinson College is pleased to announce that the following educators have been selected as winners of the national competition Teaching 9-11 and will participate in the September 9th Conference on Teaching 9-11: The Role of the Media, Museums, and Schools in Constructing National Memory. Elementary School:
Robert Peterson, La Escuela Fratney, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Middle School:
Tracy Paxton, Rivermont Collegiate, Bettendorf, Iowa

High School:
Masato Ogawa, Ontario High School, Ontario, Oregon

University:
David Mednicoff, University of Massachusetts, Amherst

The four winners will receive travel and two nights accommodations in Washington D.C., and they will be invited to participate in a panel on "Teaching 9-11" at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History on the afternoon of Thursday, September 9, 2004. At the conclusion of the panel the winners will receive a plaque and an honorarium check for $1,000.
