Fiona Spruill

Fiona Spruill is the associate editor of NYTimes.com. She joined New York Times Digital in 1999 and since then has served as a business and international news producer, a night editor and an editor of the site's home page. On Sept. 11, 2001, she arrived in the office minutes after the first plane hit and was in charge of updating the home page throughout the day. Currently, Fiona manages the team of producers and editors who focus on the features section of NYTimes.com. She has a bachelor's degree in public policy with minors in political science and history from Duke University.
