David
Mednicoff
David Mednicoff is Assistant Professor of Legal Studies
and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Judaic and Near
Eastern Studies and the Program in Middle Eastern Studies. His A.B.
in Public and International Affairs comes from Princeton University's
Woodrow Wilson School and his J.D, M.A. and Ph.D (political science,
expected 2005) are from Harvard. He is expert in Middle Eastern politics,
international and comparative law, human rights and globalization theory.
Professor Mednicoff's current research includes publications on the
shifting nature of sovereignty and its relation to international humanitarian
intervention, the stability of contemporary Middle Eastern monarchies
and U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, as well as a new comparative
project of the connection of law and political liberalization in four
contemporary Arab societies. A former Fulbright scholar in Morocco,
he speaks six languages.
